Ingredients3 pounds potatoes, peeled and sliced
18 ounces bacon, diced
18 ounces cheese, grated
2 cups heavy cream
1 medium brown onion, sliced
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2-3 garlic cloves, minced

To begin, preheat your oven to 350° F (175° C) and boil your potatoes for about 20 minutes. (They don't need to be completely cooked.) While you boil the potatoes, sautée the bacon and onions in a medium-size pan.
2. Slice the potatoes and pack them into your slightly greased 9x13 baking dish.
3. Next, add the sautéed bacon and onions and sprinkle some cheese on top.
